This card represents the somatic inner compass that guides us towards inner discoveries. A knowledge that is quiet and subtle, but strong and deep that exists before words and after everything else has faded. As the first functional organ to develop in the womb, the heart is the core of the pulse and pace of our inner life, responding to the environment. The continued development of the body is dependent on our response from the environment, in order to allows us to be ready for the outside world. It is from the heart that our growth begins in the embryonic stage. It is our body's innate capacity to perceive safety and danger. It is what allows us to grow. It is the gut feeling of knowing something deep in one’s bone marrow. How can you attune this intuition nerve, this deeper voice within, this heart of hearts and not just the constant chatter of the mind?
