Educational Programs

RESPONSIVE BODY educational programs offer practice-based research in somatic phenomenology, choreography, body-based learning, and somatic-social practices for transformative healing for persons and peoples seeking to expand creative-generative capacities as artists, performers, makers, and activists within an interconnected community bonded by mutuality and active empathy.

Through our transformative approach to care and support, RESPONSIVE BODY not only addresses the immediate needs of individuals but also works towards long-term systemic change. We believe that by prioritizing the health and well-being of all life and land, we contribute to a society that values equity, connection, and collective prosperity. Together, let us create a thriving ecosystem where humans are empowered, organizations flourish, and holistic well-being is prioritized.

RESPONSIVE BODY Educational Programs provide body-based curriculum and pedagogy for learners, leaders, teachers, staff, and administrators within educational campuses, institutions, businesses, and community organizations.

Providing Body-Based Curriclum & Pedagogy

Our offerings, such as Repair and Recovery, Bonding and Belonging, and Movement for Radical Joy, engage participants in multimodal experiences that combine somatics, movement exercises, choreography, relationship building, embodied mutuality and reciprocity, creative and artistic expression, and somatic-social connection. We recognize that each human, dancer, artist, has unique needs, and RESPONSIVE BODY is designed to be adaptable and dynamic, tailored to the students within your program.

RESIDENCIES

Residencies are a week to 2 week long deep dive into action-based explorations that enhance young artists’ mode of creativity and dance-making. We do this through a wide variety of instruction and facilitation in dance-making, embodiment practices, group discussions, pair work, body to bodywork, and many more.
